Our History
Calvary Apostolic Church was founded in 1992 in College Grove, Tn. with Larry Hammonds serving as Senior Pastor and Teddy Hazelwood serving as Associate Pastor. During the next 25 years, Calvary Apostolic continued to expand membership and outgrew their church building in College Grove. Brother Larry retired in March 2018 and Jeff Hollingshead stepped in to serve as the Senior Pastor. On December 1, 2019 Calvary held their first service in the new location in Murfreesboro on Joe B. Jackson Parkway.
Our Mission
We love Rutherford County and exist as a church to Glorify the Lord and introduce people to His son, Jesus Christ. Our mission at Calvary is to be ambassadors for Christ by sharing the Gospel and extending His love wherever we go.
Calvary Apostolic Church is a place of family, community, and hope. We are passionate about living out God’s purpose for our lives and encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ to serve the world around us. We believe that every person has been uniquely created and shaped by God for the purpose of serving Him. It is our duty to equip believers to live out God’s purpose and share Christ’s love with our community and the world.

Senior Pastor
Jeff Hollingshead
Jeff Hollingshead is the Senior Pastor at Calvary. He grew up in Smyrna, TN and graduated from Belmont University. Jeff had the privilege of serving as Calvary’s Youth Minister and teaching the Adult Sunday School Class before becoming the Senior Pastor in 2018. He and his wife, Holly, have three children: Macey, Emmie, and Lincoln.
Associate Pastor
Teddy Hazelwood
Teddy Hazelwood is the Associate Pastor at Calvary. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Middle Tennessee State University, Teddy began serving as Calvary’s Associate Pastor. Teddy and his wife, Joy, have been married for more than 30 years and have been blessed with four children: Chaz, Chelsa, Kendra, and Karlee and 12 grandchildren with more to come.
